Latest Updates from MCH Executive Director
May 15, 2020
To All MCH Staff,
I want to take the time to thank each and every one of our employees who have remained dedicated to the residents of MCH during these extraordinary times. So much has been asked of nursing homes during this crisis, and I appreciate that you all have remained committed to our mission. I understand that it is not easy, and that we are faced with challenges every day!
I want to take this time to provide an update related to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order which was released on Sunday, May 10, 2020 requiring mandatory staff testing twice per week for COVID-19. Per the Executive Order, MCH will require staff to be tested for COVID-19 each week. During the week of 5/16/20 to 5/22/20, ALL staff working at MCH will only need to be tested one time. The week 5/23/20 to 5/29/20 and every week thereafter, staff who work more than 3 days per week will require testing two times per week. Staff who work 3 days or less will require testing one time per week.
We will be sending out more information including FAQ’s and information on testing sites. Since we expect that there will be many questions surrounding this requirement, if your question is not answered in our follow up e-mail, please send questions through the intranet’s “Submit Covid-19 Questions” link or the link at the top of this page, so that we can create additional FAQ’s for all staff.
I want to remind everyone that every time we have been faced with an obstacle related to this crisis that seems impossible, we have come together and showed that we can succeed, and I believe that we will be able to do this again.
