New Visitation Guidelines for Family Members of MCH Residents
Thank you for your support and patience during this challenging time! As a result of the commitment and support of our family members and staff, we are proud that we have been successful at keeping our residents safe and no resident at MCH has contracted COVID during this time. This could only have been possible through the incredible dedication and diligence of the staff and residents at MCH, together with the understanding and support of our families and friends.
Beginning on Wednesday, July 15th, New York State will permit limited visitation at nursing homes. As you can imagine, the criteria for this re-opening are stringent and MCH must follow them completely. Monroe Community Hospital has prepared and submitted a plan for the safe interaction of our residents and family members. When this plan is approved, we will be notifying the public, and we will begin implementing these new procedures.
We want your visit to go as smoothly as possible, so we ask that visitors follow specific guidelines. These guidelines have been developed to continue to protect the health and safety of all of our residents and staff.
CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT
Please call our Visitation Hotline at (585) 760-6152 to schedule a time to visit. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred time based on availability, and we will check that your loved one doesn't have any schedule conflicts.
ARRIVE IN PARKING LOT 1
All visitors should arrive in Parking Lot 1 (the northern parking lot on our campus) and follow the signs to enter the facility through the MCH Auditorium. All visitation will take place in our Auditorium for the safety and protection of all residents.
WEAR A MASK
For the safety of our residents, we require visitors to wear a mask during their visit and to maintain proper social distancing at all times (six feet apart). Before and after your visit, please practice good hand hygiene. When arriving, visitors will be greeted to sign in. At the check-in table, visitors will be asked screening questions and given a temperature check.
To accommodate as many visitors as possible, while also maintaining safety guidelines, in-person visits will be limited to one (1) per week. We ask that no more than two (2) family members visit at any time and that you limit your visits to 45 minutes per visit.
FOR QUESTIONS OR TO RESCHEDULE
We understand if something comes up that requires you to be late or if you need to re-schedule. Please let us know as soon as possible, so that we may communicate any changes to your loved one. If you have any questions about the process or need special accommodations, please call the Visitation Hotline at (585) 760-6152.
Thank you for your continued understanding as we transition through this re-opening phase. Our priority is keeping our residents safe, and we appreciate your support in accomplishing this goal. If you continue to have questions, or require further assistance, please call our Visitation Hotline or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We join all of you in your tremendous excitement and relief, and cannot wait to reunite you with your loved one!
