STATEMENT FROM COLLEEN ROSE, EXECUTIVE HEALTH DIRECTOR OF MONROE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL REGARDING RESIDENT WHO TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Monroe Community Hospital Executive Health Director Colleen Rose is reporting the first case of a resident who has tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, March 31, an individual who was admitted to MCH on Friday, March 27, tested positive for COVID-19. The new resident went to Strong Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 1, and is no longer at MCH. Contact tracing is underway to identify individuals who came into close contact with this individual and all residents on the affected unit are in isolation. None of the residents on that unit are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
MCH is following all guidance provided by the Monroe County Department of Public Health to make sure our top priority, the health and safety of our residents and staff, is met.
