Full-time Openings

Nurse Manager

This position is responsible for directing, planning and coordinating the twenty-four hour operation of an assigned nursing unit at the Monroe Community Hospital.  Work involves planning and implementing the clinical care of patients and nursing procedures for the unit as well as assisting in developing and implementing policies, procedures and standards.  The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a hospital administrator.  General supervision is exercised over a professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.  Does related work as required.

Nursing Supervisor

This is a professional supervisory nursing position responsible for supervising, developing, motivating and evaluating nursing personnel, and for assisting in planning and coordinating the twenty‑four (24) hour functioning of assigned nursing units.  Employees work only evening and/or night-shifts and also assume administrative responsibility for the hospital on an assigned shift basis, communicating with an appropriate "on call" administrator as necessary.  The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing or other senior-level nursing administrator.  Leeway is allowed for the exercise of independent judgment and decision‑making in determining patient/resident needs and solutions to clinical care problems.  General supervision is exercised over a professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.  Does related work as required.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (Baylor Program)

Weekend LPN with weekdays off. This position works two (2) 16-hour weekend shifts and gets paid for 40 hours, with weekdays off. Eligible for full time benefits.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing tasks within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other legally authorized licensed health care provider in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Duties involve providing/assisting with direct and indirect care to convalescent and chronically/seriously ill patients. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a Registered Professional Nurse or other higher-level staff member. General supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (Full Time)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing tasks within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other legally authorized licensed health care provider in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Nursing Assistant (Full Time)

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level position in the health care field responsible for performing a variety of direct and indirect services for chronically ill and convalescent patients. Employees receive State mandated training prior to assuming duties. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of, a licensed nurse.

Nursing Supervisor (Per Diem)

Registered Professional Nurse

SUMMARY: This is a professional nursing position involving responsibility for providing bedside and clinical care to convalescent, chronically ill, and seriously ill residents at Monroe Community Hospital. Applicants will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. General supervision is received from a senior level nursing staff member. Direct supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants. Full-time and per diem positions available.

Rehabilitative Nursing Clinical Coordinator

SUMMARY: This is a clinical nursing position responsible for planning, developing and coordinating the rehabilitative nursing educational program for Monroe Community Hospital.  The employee is responsible for all phases of patient care and instructs the nursing staff on current or revised rehabilitative nursing health concepts.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the Rehabilitation Director - MCH.  Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class.  Does related work as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for giving direct and indirect care to convalescent or chronically ill patients and for assisting with the care of seriously ill patients. Employees give bedside care to patients, administer approved medication and assist in giving medical treatment. Licensed Practical Nurses will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision from, a Registered Professional Nurse. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff. Does related work as required. New Hourly Rate for Per Diem!

 

Respiratory Care Practitioner (Per Diem)

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level professional position at the Monroe Community Hospital responsible for administering cardiopulmonary procedures to residents. Primary responsibility is to receive and carry out Physicians' and Nurse Practitioners' orders for modalities falling under the Cardiopulmonary Unit's scope of practice. The position participates in the development and delivery of the respiratory care plan to residents. The position differs from Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner in that it is not responsible for supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Unit in the absence of the Cardiopulmonary Services Manager, or participating in the development of respiratory care plans to residents. The employee, in many instances, works independently, but does not exercise supervision. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Cardiopulmonary Director.
