Licensed Practical Nurse (Baylor Program)

Weekend LPN with weekdays off. This position works two (2) 16-hour weekend shifts and gets paid for 40 hours, with weekdays off. Eligible for full time benefits.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing tasks within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other legally authorized licensed health care provider in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Duties involve providing/assisting with direct and indirect care to convalescent and chronically/seriously ill patients. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a Registered Professional Nurse or other higher-level staff member. General supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (Full Time)

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level position in the health care field responsible for performing a variety of direct and indirect services for chronically ill and convalescent patients. Employees receive State mandated training prior to assuming duties. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of, a licensed nurse.

Registered Nurse (Baylor)

Registered Professional Nurses will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. General supervision is received from a senior level nursing staff member. Direct supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants.

 

Registered Professional Nurse

SUMMARY: This is a professional nursing position involving responsibility for providing bedside and clinical care to convalescent, chronically ill, and seriously ill residents at Monroe Community Hospital. Applicants will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. General supervision is received from a senior level nursing staff member. Direct supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants. Full-time and per diem positions available.

Wound Care Nurse (Provisional)

SUMMARY: This is a professional nursing position located at Monroe Community Hospital responsible for providing comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care assistance to include the implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc.).  Duties include providing patient, family, and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, dressing selections and other therapies.  A wide latitude is allowed for independent judgment and decision making.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Nursing Administrator or other higher-level administrator.

Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for giving direct and indirect care to convalescent or chronically ill patients and for assisting with the care of seriously ill patients. Employees give bedside care to patients, administer approved medication and assist in giving medical treatment. Licensed Practical Nurses will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision from, a Registered Professional Nurse. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff. Does related work as required. New Hourly Rate for Per Diem!

 

Respiratory Care Practitioner (Per Diem)

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level professional position at the Monroe Community Hospital responsible for administering cardiopulmonary procedures to residents. Primary responsibility is to receive and carry out Physicians' and Nurse Practitioners' orders for modalities falling under the Cardiopulmonary Unit's scope of practice. The position participates in the development and delivery of the respiratory care plan to residents. The position differs from Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner in that it is not responsible for supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Unit in the absence of the Cardiopulmonary Services Manager, or participating in the development of respiratory care plans to residents. The employee, in many instances, works independently, but does not exercise supervision. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Cardiopulmonary Director.
