Assistant Personnel Analyst

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level professional position designed to familiarize employees with the policies, practices and procedures of a central personnel office, or of the personnel section of a large government department or agency.  Work is performed under the general supervision of a senior personnel employee or other administrative staff member, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, Civil Service Law and local rules and regulations.  This position differs from parallel positions in the Personnel Technician series in that the latter career series is restricted to use in the Civil Service/Personnel Office.  Supervision is not typically a responsibility of this position.  Does related work as required.

Building Service Worker

SUMMARY: This is an entry-level labor position responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties. Work is routine in nature and involves following simple procedures and directions in accomplishing tasks. Employees may be required to work evenings and weekends. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of, a higher level staff employee who checks work for adequacy and compliance with agency standards. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class.

Clinical Systems Administrator

SUMMARY: This is a technical position at Monroe Community Hospital responsible for assisting with the management, training, evaluation and maintenance of all clinical information systems.  Responsibilities include providing end-user training, monitoring application use and system performance.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Computer Project Manager – Monroe Community Hospital or other higher level staff member.  Staff supervision is not a responsibility.  Does related work as required.

Cook

SUMMARY: This is a food service position responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of hot and cold food items to students, faculty, patients, and patrons in a school or institutional setting.  Food is prepared in accordance with established menus or specific diets.  Employees may plan menus, complete food requisitions, and maintain inventory records.  When assigned to an educational facility, the Cook may either be the responsible food service employee in an elementary school or work under the general supervision of a Cook Manager in an elementary, junior or senior high school.  When assigned to an institutional setting, the Cook reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Lead Cook, Food Service Manager or other higher level staff member.  Direct supervision may be exercised over Assistant Cooks and other food service employees.  Does related work as required.

 

Food Service Worker (Full-Time)

SUMMARY: This is routine work involving responsibility for the sanitary, efficient and safe performance of duties related to the preparation and serving of food. Work is performed under the direct supervision of Food Service supervisory personnel, who inspect the work for adequacy and conformance to standards. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class.

Grounds Equipment Operator (Part-Time)

SUMMARY: This is an important grounds maintenance position involving upkeep of lawns, turf grass, trees, shrubs, flowerbeds, sidewalks, driveways, and building exteriors.  This employee may operate grounds motorized equipment or light-weight trucks in tending the lawns and in hauling materials and refuse.  Work involves manual labor and is performed under various weather conditions including extremes of heat and cold, humidity, or inclement conditions.  When assigned to the County Parks Department, Grounds Equipment Operators may be subject to working evening hours relating to golf course irrigation or related functions.  Effective communication with customers is paramount for both safety and courtesy when operating equipment at a busy time.  The Grounds Equipment Operator works under general supervision from, and reports directly to, a higher-ranking employee.  Direct supervision may be exercised over full‑time, part‑time, or seasonal laborers.  Does related work as required.

 

Hospital Resident Medicaid Liaison

SUMMARY: This position, located at Monroe Community Hospital, is responsible for determining the financial resources of patients/residents and the appropriate collection procedures to be used in collecting delinquent accounts.  Duties also involve working with patients/residents regarding Medicaid applications and re-certification processes.  The work is performed in accordance with established practices and procedures.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a Patient Accounting Manager or other higher level staff member.  Does related work as required.

Laundry Service Worker

SUMMARY: This is routine work involving responsibility for the performance of duties in the laundry at Monroe Community Hospital.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Laundry or Senior Laundry Service Worker who inspects the work for adequacy and conformance with agency standards.  Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class.  Does related work as required.

Senior Building Service Worker

SUMMARY: This position performs routine work including being responsible for the performance of a variety of cleaning duties.  This title differs from the lower title Building Service Worker by virtue of its expanded scope which includes duties such as acting in a lead supervisory capacity during cleaning projects, moving furniture, loading/unloading items onto/from trucks (up to fifty [50] pounds), performing minor mechanical tasks, and operating an automobile.  Employees may be required to work evenings and weekends.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Supervising Building Service Worker or other higher level staff member.  Does related work as required.

Therapeutic Dietitian

SUMMARY: This is a professional position responsible for planning and overseeing dietary aspects of the food delivery system in a health care facility. Duties include working closely with medical personnel in assessing nutritional needs of residents, planning for the provision of food and drink appropriate for the patients’ physical and medical needs, and providing nutrition education and counseling to adequately meet regular or therapeutic needs. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the facility administrator with leeway allowed for exercise of independent professional judgment. General supervision may be exercised over the work of the Dietetic Technicians and over the food service preparation staff. Does related work as required.

Food Service Worker (Part Time)

Guard (Part Time)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the enforcement of peace and order on the grounds and in buildings of a governmental agency or department, and the prevention and investigation of theft, vandalism, accidents and illegal entry, etc. Employees direct visitors to parking areas or offices and check visitor passes. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a supervisor, manager, or special investigator. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class.
