MCH Food Services Celebrates National Nurses Week

Over the course of May 6th to May 10, health care facilities across the United States, including Monroe Community Hospital, celebrated National Nurses Week. In addition to recognizing the critically important role of MCH’s entire nursing staff play in providing compassionate care to every resident who calls Monroe Community Hospital home, MCH’s Food Services Department chose to focus on the incredible nurses who call Monroe Community Hospital home by spot-lighting nurses from around the facility in a way that is close to the hearts of those in the Food Services Department: Food!
Leading up to National Nurses Week, staff from the Food Services Department gathered menu suggestions and recipes from nurses across Monroe Community Hospital and over the course of the week on a daily basis, highlighted these menu items in the cafe for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy along with a small caption about the nurse. Some of the menu items featured over the course of the week included Chicken Biryani, Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip, Vegetable Lasagna and a play on a Rochester classic, a Nurse Plate!
