MCH Welcomes Social Work Manager

MCH is pleased to welcome Sarah Emerson as Medical Social Work Manager.
Sarah brings nearly 30 years of social work experience and a strong commitment to supporting residents, patients, families and staff to MCH.
She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Syracuse University in 1996 and became licensed the same year. Previously, she served as the social work manager at Rochester General Hospital, where she developed extensive leadership experience in patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In her new role, Sarah hopes to use her knowledge and experience to provide meaningful support to residents, patients and team members while helping advance the hospital’s mission of compassionate care.
Sarah shared that she has long admired the iconic MCH campus and is thrilled to join the organization professionally. She also expressed gratitude for MCH’s support of veterans and military families, noting her own family’s long history of military service.
Also, Sarah is excited to serve individuals with developmental disabilities, a population she has served throughout her career.
