Rehabilitation Services
Monroe Community Hospital offers one of the most comprehensive short-term rehabilitation programs in the region, providing individualized care and treatment to people who have disabling conditions as a result of an injury or illness. Our well-respected program helps individuals regain their mobility, their ability to care for themselves, and their speech and language skills. We specialize in treating people who have had strokes and excel at caring for the elderly and individuals with multiple or severe disabilities.
First in Nation with SafeGait
Monroe Community Hospital is proud to be the first healthcare facility in the nation to have the innovative SafeGait system installed. The benefits of SafeGait's dynamic body weight support system have been immediately apparent in our clinic. Patients and residents, who struggle to walk or are fearful of falling, have improved confidence and begin to see improvements almost instantly. SafeGait allows a new degree of freedom between the therapist and the patient, opening up a larger range of possible activities in a therapy session. We can now push the boundaries in a safe and secure environment, helping our patients achieve their full potential as quickly as possible.
Successful Helping Patients Regain Independence
Our rehabilitation program has demonstrated remarkable success in helping patients regain their independence by combining an individualized, caring, and supportive atmosphere with the newest practices and state-of-the-art technology. The program offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to meeting patients’ individual needs. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services six days each week, Monday through Saturday.
