Monroe Community Hospital has appointed an experienced veteran to lead its human resource department.

Jason Vinette joins MCH after serving more than a decade as Human Resources director for the Town of Irondequoit, where he oversaw personnel policy, advised employees on benefit programs, and administered salary plans and labor relations for staff.
“Jason brings a strong record of public service, leadership and a deep understanding of civil service and labor relations,” said Alyssa Tallo, Executive Health Director at MCH. “His commitment to professional development and his collaborative approach to human resources will help us continue building a workforce that provides compassionate, high-quality care to our residents.”
At MCH, Vinette will be responsible for developing and administering personnel policies, supervising HR staff, and supporting recruitment and retention efforts. The position includes oversight of benefits administration, union negotiations, civil service coordination and classification and compensation planning.
A graduate of SUNY Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in political science, Vinette has earned graduate certificates in human resource management and diversity, equity and inclusion. Also, he serves on the Public Sector HR Association Executive Council, where he collaborates with other practitioners and develops leadership strategies.
Vinette said he is committed to public service and looks forward to partnering with hospital leadership and staff.
“I want to use my experience in human resources to collaborate with others at MCH to ensure we are supporting our residents with caring and compassionate staff,” he said.
A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, Vinette added that patience and resilience are qualities he brings to his new role at MCH.
