Monroe Community Hospital has announced the appointment of Zena Gucciardo as Quality Assurance Manager, where she will work with departments across the hospital to meet quality objectives, strengthen processes and enhance resident care.

She brings more than 16 years of experience supporting quality and compliance initiatives and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John’s University in New York City, along with a certificate in Disability Studies.

“Ultimately, I want QA to help MCH maintain high standards, reduce risk, improve processes and ensure the individuals and families we serve receive quality care and services,” Zena said. “I’m excited to be joining MCH and look forward to getting to know the team and contributing to the organization’s goals.”

As Quality Assurance Manager, Gucciardo will help coordinate MCH’s quality assurance program across the hospital. The role encompasses a broad range of hospital functions, including patient care, equipment, confidentiality, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. She will also provide technical assistance to staff, helping teams meet quality assurance objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.

Her vision is to help promote a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement at MCH. She plans to monitor compliance, identify trends, use data to guide decisions and work collaboratively with staff through education and ongoing support.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her daughter, an avid dancer who primarily performs ballet.
