Monroe Community Hospital (MCH) is proud to announce that its overall quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has increased to four stars, reflecting our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care to our residents.
The CMS star rating system evaluates nursing homes nationwide on key quality measures, including health inspections, staffing, and resident care outcomes. A four-star rating places MCH above the state and national averages, underscoring the dedication of our team to continuous improvement and resident-centered care.
“This achievement is a direct result of the hard work, expertise, and compassion our staff bring every single day,” said Alyssa Tallo, Executive Health Director. “It’s not just about meeting standards—it’s about raising them, so that every resident receives the highest level of care possible.”
In recent years, MCH has invested in facility upgrades, staff training, and innovative care programs to better serve residents with complex medical needs. These efforts, paired with a focus on communication and collaboration among care teams, have contributed to the improved rating.
As MCH looks ahead to its 200th anniversary in 2026, this milestone reaffirms our mission to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care for the community we’ve proudly served for nearly two centuries.
