Summer Picnic Series Kick Off

Monroe Community Hospital (MCH) is turning up the heat this summer with the return of its highly anticipated 2025 Summer Picnic Series, hosted by the Food and Nutrition Department.
Designed to bring staff, residents, and families together for great food and good company, the series features a delicious lineup of themed meals and outdoor gatherings from June through September.
The season kicks off in sizzling style with a Pig Roast on Wednesday, June 4, featuring smoked pork with choice of sauce, potato salad, collards, dinner roll and a drink for ($17, presale; $20 day of the event). Next up, things get spicy with the Taco Truck on Wednesday, June 11, with choice of chicken, streak or shrimp taco and a drink ($7-$11). Dessert extra.
The summer flavors continue to roll in with:
· Greek Street, featuring kebabs ($14) – Wednesday, July 9.
· Chicken BBQ, state fair marinated chicken ($12) – Wednesday, July 23.
· Rib Fest, 1/3 rack of ribs, ($14) – Wednesday, Aug. 6.
· Clam Bake, dozen clams and corn ($15) – Wednesday, Aug. 27.
· Tailgate Party, choice of wings, or nachos ($6-$8) – Monday, Sept. 4.
The Summer Picnic Series highlights the culinary talents of the Food and Nutrition Department while celebrating the vibrant community spirit that makes MCH a special place to live and work.
